With the majestic snow-capped Sierras in the distance, guests can first relax on Brooks' expansive deck and take in the divine postcard-like views of the golf course and Lake Tahoe. Located right off Edgewood Tahoe's picturesque 18th hole, this is home of one of the greatest sunsets of the world, and it happens daily.

Within, Brooks' feels very much like a sports bar designed by Frank Gehry: sweeping vaulted ceilings, walls of glass windows, a handsome wooden build. Yet the beautiful architecture belies the comfortable feel and attitude. With multiple flatscreen TVs tuned into the biggest game of the day, the bar features a number of quality local brews and a variety of signiture cocktails. Casual dining fare, deluxe appetizers and entrees and sophisticated comfort food all put Brooks' at the top of its class.

This is our favorite place to congregate as a family, and to take out of town guests.. It's one of the few places in Tahoe where you can have the ultimate ambience without the high prices that generally go with it. We like to order several different items and "share". The salads are great; the tacos are tasty and filling; the Salmon Fish and Chips are unique and worth a try, and one of our favorites is the Calamari. There is something for everyone. If you have kids in the group, they'll love the fries and burgers. (we doo too!) This is one of those places that locals would like to keep a "secret"......and since I've now let the secret out, do me the favor of saving a table for me!!
